Check on your loved ones!

Things are seemingly getting worse out there in the world. I know these times can be scary, but we can only control that which is in our own power. Therefore, we shouldn’t worry about things we have no control over. Instead we should put our efforts to things we can do to help out or keep ourselves healthy during this time. Watching the news is not helpful, it will only serve to make you feel worse about the current situation. Apart from vital information such as orders or work updates it is best to try and keep our minds on more productive things. Staying calm and being prepared is the best we can do right now.

Just because we are quarantined or social distancing doesn’t mean that we can’t reach out and check on our loved ones. Some people do better than others when it comes to being stuck at home. Some people might also live by themselves and get really lonely or feel hopeless in these times. I would like to challenge you to check on your friends, family, and loved ones at least once a week! Ask them how they are doing and if there is any way you can help them. (hopefully while still social distancing) Who knows you could be the only person to reach out to them and it could make a huge difference. You could potentially be saving a person’s life, but at the very least you will probably make their day better. Doing this will help you to feel better and less isolated as well. The world needs to come together in times of disaster like this and so I challenge you, reach out to those you love and care about because that could make all the difference.
